For a long time TPO Roofing was the main man on campus, but in recent years Duro-Last Roofing (PVC) has busted in on the scene. The 2 kinds of roofing have been battling for supremacy in the commercial flat roof replacement arena for the last few years with supporters on both side. Here at Mark Kaufman Roofing we have picked our winner, Duro-Last Roofing.
We have worked with both materials and after putting them to the test we have found TPO Roofing leaving us wanting more, that more was found with Duro-Last. We found that TPO Roofing was a hard material to work with and didn’t weld as easily as Duro-Last. Duro-Last is more pliable and they pre-make the sheets for any size. Duro-Last is a lighter and can have more factory welds, which means less leaks. Also Duro-Last works with Exceptional Metals Co. to make coping caps, metal scuppers and other custom make metal accessories, to make it an all-in-one package.
The warranties are another stand out advantage for Duro-Last Roofing. Most TPO Roofing materials are not warrantied for roof replacements, just repairs. Duro-Last Roofing warranties roof repair and replacement. Duro-Last warranties cover ponding water and consequential damage, which TPO does not. The bonus is that the warranty is provided at no extra cost.
And although both types of roofing are used mainly for commercial roofing, they can also be used residentially. So if you are in need of a flat roof replacement consider Mark Kaufman Roofing and Duro-Last Roofing.
